Aladdin the Musical: A Magical Night in SVP

The school production of a musical is a bi-annual program that is organised by the secondary school division at SVP. After successfully performing King and I (2016) and Green Concert (2017), this year Aladdin was the title that was chosen by the team. Directed by Pak Dasrizal and Pak Chrys as musical director, the production took place in Amarta Hall on February 24, 2018. The show itself was almost fully booked by parents, students, and musical enthusiasts. The committee for this production successfully organised the event including the venue, decoration, props, lighting, IT, costumes and many other components. However, the preparation for this successful event took 6 months.

COURAGEOUS ME – Primary School School Production

Courageous is one of the characters we need to have to succeed in life. It is not an innate character. We need to cultivate it. As it is also one of the Learner Profiles and a part of CHAMPION qualities (Courageous), we take Courage as the theme of our biennial event, School Production, this year. This school production was held on the 28th and 29th April 2017 and it was titled “Courageous Me”. The script, that was written by Ibu Yani, included an adaptation of Brave story and her own version of Tangled story.

Green Concert 2017

Green Concert 2017: From Earth to Earth

SVP ran its annual charity concert entitled the ‘Green Concert’ on Saturday, February 25, 2017. This two hour event had been prepared months before by all parties involved, including  students as performers, teachers as committee, and school management. The Green Concert itself was a part of the 2017 Art Festival which ran from February 19 to 23, 2017.

The Green Concert presented varied performances such as choir, orchestra, dance, and an auction of visual arts creations. During the preparation, there were many things happening, such as the adjustment of the program and managing practice schedules. However, we all could overcome it and gave a superb concert on the D day. Continue reading
